Public ConsultationBlaenau Gwent’s Budget 2024-25

Blaenau Gwent Council is looking to engage with residents about its Budget for 2024/25. Last year over 3,000 people gave their views on what was important to them.

The Council is facing a range of financial pressures which has resulted in a significant funding gap. It has put together a series of savings and efficiencies proposals to try and address this shortfall. These proposals include changes to services, potential income generation and an increase in Council Tax.

There will be drop-in sessions held at Community Hubs in libraries; town centres and in a local supermarket. More details here - https://www.blaenau-gwent.gov.uk/en/resident/blaenau-gwent-council-budget-2024-25/

At all sessions there will be members of the Council’s Cabinet and Corporate Leadership Team present to chat through the proposals and answer any questions.

There is also an online survey to complete available here - https://online1.snapsurveys.com/lshqwn

The Council’s final budget will be decided by councillors in February.
