                                   Authentic Pizza

Ingredients

For the dough

  • 8-9oz Self raising flour or strong white bread flour
  • 7g dried easy-blend yeast
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 25ml/1fl oz olive oil
  • 325ml/11fl oz warm water
  • passata and other toppings, for baking

Method

Preheat your oven to 220-240 c

1.Place lukewarm water in the stand mixer bowl, sprinkle the yeast and a pinch of sugar on top, mix and let it rest until the mixture is nice and bubbly.

2. Place flour salt and olive oil into a large mixing bowl.

3. Gradually add the water into the flour and mix until it forms a ball. Knead the dough for around 5mins or until it is elastic looking soft but not sticky.

4. Stretch dough into pizza shape then place onto a baking. Spread passata over dough and add toppings of your choice.

5. Bake the pizza for around 15 mins or until edges and underneath are brown.
